hmm…
looks like the tree was old. But then, they could have just cut the weaker branches. Did you try finding out why they were bringing this tree down?
There is a lot of this happening especially with the rains bringing down the heavy but weaker branches of rather aged trees. At times, they do use this as an excuse to bring down even the good ones.

By the way did u find out what is the reason for them to cust the tree, People wont remember the shed that the tree provide but they just cut it off.. when its old of when they just feel that they dont need it…
