Following picture which I took early this evening reminded me of the poem “KarunaaLu baa beLake” by Sri. B.M Srikantaiah. He translated the hymn “Lead, Kindly Light” written by John Henry Newman. One of my maths lecturer used to sing this song melodiously in Kannada. Even today its once of the famous songs which every kannadiga likes to listen while worshiping the light for its greatness.
“Lead, Kindly Light” is a hymn with words written in 1833 by John Henry Newman and 4th verse by Edward H. Bickersteth, Jr.
I also found this link interesting. You can find the mid file of Lead, Kindly Light here.
