It was great moving out of the city during the weekend with friends. We were planning to go to Savanadurga for months now. Here I have added few images which I captured in my Canon PowerShot A560. Savandurga is around 60 kms from Bangalore towards Magadi. I’m digging more into the history of this place to blog on.

Olympic games kick started with a spectacular opening ceremony and till date there was no good news for India until this morning.
Abhinav bindra brings in first ever individual gold medal for India in Olympics in men’s 10m air rifle. Congratulations!!!!

Its just amazing. More pics and writeups are on way. Entire body is aching now ;).
It all started in Greece, in the Peloponnese, some 3,000 years ago. The game still bring in people together from all around the world. Every one’s eyes are set on Beijing now. Just two more days to go.
Its a pride to play in Olympics, if you win entire country will be proud of you. Olympics throws light on the world’s best talents. I’m really looking forward to see how many golds Indian athletes can grab this year. Lots more to share about this historical game in the coming posts.

I didn’t get to log this day on 25th last month as I wanted to write a special note about the international System Administration Appreciation day celebrations but have been busy lately.
SysAdminDay is celebrated from last 9 years to thank all those people behind the servers which are up and running round the clock in this internet age. Check out this website which talks more on it.
The day is to appreciate SysAdmin’s at least one day of the year for their dedication and hard work as they get screwed by people who get irritated by the trouble which they face with servers and desktops around the world. System Admin’s sacrifice lots of things in life to keep the servers up and clients happy. You might have come across many situations where in sys admin might have got blame for software or hardware issues. You might have had fun time fixing your system issues with him. Why don’t you log them here as a comment?
I have been working as sys admin for quite a some time now and I feel proud as I could lots issues for lot many people round the clock around the world. I would like to thank all those sys admin’s who have been contributing to the KB’s which are being used by others to learn sys admin tricks.

Its not yet over. Yesterday serial bomb blasts shook the entire city and today an another live bomb was found near the shopping mall where I used to hang around last year. “The Forum” is one of the famous shopping mall in Koramangala. Its very close to the locations where in bombs exploded yesterday.
An unidentified 20 year old guy was found to have been placing the bomb in footpath near the shopping mall. Authorities are in search of this man wearing a Red T-Shirt.
Its all a mess in the city. Traffic jams, mobile networks have been jammed, IT companies hit along with those who give daily wages to so many people around the city. Though life started off as usual this morning, terror is still on in mind of Bangalorians. It used to be a green and fun filled city. You can say now its also filled with low-intensity bombs to horrify common man.
Why people are playing around with the lives of others? Whats behind all this? Terror is not the solution for all. Live and let us live peacefully.
