It has been a relaxing weekend... have spent much of my time away from the laptop, though I have my little digital toy in my hand through out this weekend along with my brand new Camera. Yes, I haven't written much about it here so far. I bought a Canon EOS 500D couple of months back and learning to capture the moments. My Canon PIXMA MP486 prints pretty good pics directly from my camera and yes trying to make it work on Ubuntu till date. I have been quite busy from the beginning of this year and there has been no much entires on my blog recently. Pardon me.. I have been writing in Kannada though its a bits and pieces of poetry inspired by photos and special friend(s). I shall get to blogging again and shall keep an outlet for my thoughts as I have been able to zoom in and see things clearly in both Manual and AF modes digitally. Today it's Mothers day... I don't believe in celebrating a day for my mom as there is a love and affection between us and it will remain so till the end. Wrote a poem this morning where in I kept asking what I can really do for her for giving birth to me. Still have not found an answer. Though all that I can do for her is to care and ensure that she is happy. Love you Mom :) One of my favorite writer Vasudendra's Chanda Pustaka released four books today. Three were mainly meant for children and another one was from Vasudendra himself .. a set of essays under the name 'Rakshaka Anaatha'. Enjoyed Jayant Kaykini's words as I entered the venue. I am not writing the happenings the events here but would like to mention that it was a great treat early in the Morning on a sunday. I'm sharing the podcast of "Muddu Teertalli" here on this blog. After having a light meal at the event, I took an autograph from Vasu on his book and got back home for a small nap (I'm really sleeping these days... ;) an update!). By the time I really woke up and started running through my usual routine tasks on my laptop, it was time for an evening retreat for ears. Attended 52th Prakruthi event at cubbon park. Twelve famous musicians played for Ravi Kulakarni (He came all the way from Hubli for the show. Heard that he was on bed for more than a year due to TB. His voice sounded just like Kishore da and was much appreciated by the entire crowd ) and others while Arun Sukumar led the artists team. R.D Burman and Kishore da were remembered by a pretty good crowd today at Cubbon park. The day ended with a dinner party in Jayanagar at Gufa.. Alas! Its time to hit the bed..
