Chandrayaan - 1: One the of the most prestigious space mission of India. Count down has begun.

When we were kids Mom used to tell stories about “Chanda Maama” i.e Moon. One of the closest celestial object to the earth. In veda’s Indians call him “Soma”. There are lots of songs not only in Indian languages but also in other foreign languages which talk about Mr.  Moon. We used to be and we still get thrilled to look at full Moon in dark nights. He is worshiped by people normally on the contrary during Ganesha Chaturthi he is cursed by Lord Ganesha and hence is kept away from the eye sight. Lord Shiva wears “ardha chandra” (Half Moon) as his ornament.

Today, I’m not talking about those stories but I’m talking about the next mile stone which has been set by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) for itself. “Chandrayaan - 1” a mission to reach moon for finding out more about him, and his secrets. Also to see if we can touch him to create a new territory up above in the sky. An indigenous effort from the Indian space scientists.

I got to hear about this mission in detail during my visit to ISRO with some of my friends from Sampada Community. It was explained in detail by Prof.U.R Rao. (You will get to read more about our meeting on Sampada.net soon).

You can find more about this mission from the experts on ISRO website. Follow some of the links which I have given below.

PSLV on its way to write an another history in Indian Astronomy.

Scientific articles which I had started reading in Prajavani and other news papers used to amaze me about the wast universe and the technology created by scientists. Poorna Chandra Tejasvi, Nagesh Hegde, G.T Narayana Rao few people who I have been recalling again and again all in last few years once again since I started writing technical articles in my language because they have set some milestones for me.

18 days we got to wait for the satellite to reach Moon on its orbit before we start getting any reports. I wish good luck to all genius people out there working hard day and night for this mission.

Anand bhavan is known for its sweets and chats. Yesterday, my colleague bought me afternoon lunch which we were discussing last week. It was just awesome. For 35 Rs you get to eat a wonderful breakfast (I’m not mentioning the items provided. Check it yourself ;) ) and Lunch costs around 50 Rs for North Indian. I loved the food and its taste.  There are many braches of Anand bhavan in Bangalore, BTM, Koramangala, Majestic etc. Ayudha pooja and Vijaya dashami might force you to buy some sweets. If you haven’t tried Anand bhavan yet, its time to visit this shop.

Happy Ayudha pooja and Vijaya Dhashami.

If I want to take a break and look at something green, its bit difficult in Bangalore. It has become a concrete park day by day. A day out in Mysore filled in lots of green into my mind which lasts for a long time. Some of which has been captured in my camera and here they are for your preview. Take a break and go out there and breath fresh.

I was born in Mysore and it’s fun to roam around in Mysore. Land which is still fresh, untouched by the horrible traffic which you can find in Bangalore. You can find few pictures aggressively asking for Kannada usage by multinationals @ Mysore railways station. You can also find few boards which caught our attention for a while. I shall roll them in captions. There are few more pics which are misc.
