Shameful remark by Kerala CM

“If it had not been (Major) Sandeep’s house, not even a dog would have glanced that way.”

These are the words which came out from the mouth of Kerala chief minister V S Achuthananda, from the state which claims to be 100% literate. What type of education is that which teaches you to play with the sentiments of people and give such shameful remarks in public media.

These words came out when Mr. Achuthananda after he was snubbed by martyr’s dad.

Excuse me sir! You need to be educated once again and don’t play politics when we mourn for the sacrifices made by our brave Indian soldiers. You would not have made such comment if you were not allowed to be elected by “people”  against whom you’re making such remarks. Do watch your words.

Its shameful situation for us to be lead by such leaders in this country. What do you think we should be doing in response to this? Do comment. Raise the voice or say “Chalthaa hai” without any shame.

Onam Celebrations are ON

With the chants of the following song (it has been translated from Malayalam), Kerala celebrates its beautiful festival “Onam” from today onwards and it lasts for 10 days.

“ When Maveli, our King, ruled the land,All the people had equality.
And people were joyful and merry;
They were all free from harm.
There was neither anxiety nor sickness,
Death of the children was never even heard of,
There were no lies,
There was neither theft nor deceit,
And no one was false in speech either.
Measures and weights were right;
No one cheated or wronged his neighbor.
When Maveli, our King, ruled the land,
All the people formed one casteless race.		 ”

The history of Onam dates back to AD500. Onam is the biggest festival of Kerala which marks the homecoming of legendary King Mahabali. You get to see the best of Keral culture and the richness of festival celebrations which includes Intricately decorated Pookalam, ambrosial Onasadya, breathtaking Snake Boat Race and exotic Kaikottikali dance etc. Its also called as a harvest festival in Kerala.
