Myths and Solutions

General, History | 0 comments

Friday the 13th” I was asked not to do anything new on that day by few of my friends who belive in myths. I always did the reverse of what they have been telling me, Especially when they point me to such myths. Till recently I never thought of even reading more about it on Internet as nothing bad really happened with me so far. I even remember clearing my first certification exam on Friday the 13th.Fortunately or unfortunately  this year ;) , I celebrated my birthday on 13th Friday.

Neelanjana (Hamsanandi) writes  in his blog about this day explaining from where “Friday the 13th” myth might have  originated and also prescribe a dose of daasa saahitya. He quotes lines from Purandara dasa‘s composition (ugaabhoga) to help us continue leading our life without fearing about bad.

Now that I have seen the
Good Lord Purandara Vitthala,
Today, indeed is a very good day!

Belive in what you see. If you haven’t seen things on your own, explore the world or peep into the history.  Purandara dasa ignored the myths and enjoyed the moment which he lived in 15th and 16th century and he had the intellect to look beyond the mirror to understand things.

To put it simply, at times “Ignorance is a bliss“.
