WordPress: Quick RSS feed from a tag or search result

Blogs, linux, QuickFix, Technical, Wordpress | 0 comments

If you want to subscribe to any of of the individual topics on my blog via RSS feed, its really quick and easy. First find the topic in my Tag cloud in sidebar. Click on that tag to visit the related topics.

For example: Ubuntu. When I clicked on Ubuntu from my  tags cloud I went to following URL

https://platonic.techfiz.info/tag/ubuntu/

To make it available via RSS, I just had to add /feed/ in front of that.

Ubuntu Feed is available at: https://platonic.techfiz.info/tag/ubuntu/feed/

Similarly, If you want RSS feed for any search string, use the following URL syntax

Syntax: https://platonic.techfiz.info/?s=&feed=rss2

Let me explain it for you:

Say, is the string which you’re searching for on my blog. Ex: sampada. Search for that using search box on the side bar. Once you’re  there add &feed=rss2 to the resulted URL in address bar to get its RSS feed.

Search Feed for Sampada is available at:

https://platonic.techfiz.info/?s=sampada&feed=rss2

PS: For tags, I’m using fancy premalinks, but for search I’m using non-fancy premalinks

Have fun with seletecd topics via RSS.
