Recent Delhi serial blasts revealed that terrorists are smart enough to use the loop holes found in your WiFi. Do guard your WiFi routers and HotSpot’s today.

Government wakes up in this regard and thinking hard to make it compulsory to secure the Wifi connections via your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

These days purchasing broadband connection and setting up a WiFi connectivity for home/office has become quite easy. But consumers are not found to be educated about the need of security features provided in the routers and other devices shipped by the telecom department and ISPs. I even found that the people who come for installing and configuring the broadband connections to home and office are not skilled enough to setup basic security features multiple times.

It is  also quite possible to use tools to even crack the WiFi passwords.  Just google around and you will find many links guiding you about various tools available to achieve this. In a minute or so you will be owning a WEP/WPA keys to get in to some ones network. I had written about worlds best security OS distribution BackTrack that powers many to check how good is the security settings. You also have a video on my blog about this distro. Don’t forget to check it. Learn to use it and be secure.

How much government rules and regulations can tackle with such cases? Its still a big question. Lot more needs to be taken into consideration in case terrorists starts intruding into such things. Yes, also think about a secure OS for your PC today.

Its ultimately our responsibility to ensure that others won’t misuse our identity or foot prints to commit a crime. Start from reading your hardware manuals atleast run your eyes through pages.
