Right! while copying few files from one location to other, I might have to overwrite the files and I will be forced to say yes all the time to continue with the copy. At times, We don’t even want to break our head with it. We move the folder or files and copy the new files. If you really want to over write without being prompted you can just add “--reply=yes” to avoid the copy process to prompt for the answer.

This is how your command will look like after adding the above option.

cp -pR  --reply=yes * ../htdocs

The Cultural city, City of Palaces Of Karnataka Mysore is all set to celebrate 9 days long Navarathri which is also called as “Naada habba Dasara” (State Festival Dasara).

Paramapoojya Jagadguru Dr Sri Sri Sri Shivakumara Mahaswamiji, Seer of Siddaganga Math, Tumkur, will be inaugurating the celebrations today at Chamundi hills.

Entire state celebrate this historical festival which dates back to 15th Century. Mysore Wodeyars takes the fame of continue this wonderful religious celebration since 1610 when Raja Wodeyar was on thrown.

Jamboo Savaari is one of the biggest attraction of this festival. People come from all around the world to see the celebrations in Mysore and we are all proud of this. Elephants with the Goddess Chamnundeshwari on a golden mantapa in the procession which will be held on the 10th day of Dasara is a real beauty and the main attraction. In the older days Raja used to sit in that Golden Mantapa and participate in the procession, now we take Godess Chamnundeshwari who is worshiped by the royal family and the city of Mysore. Procession which starts from Mysore palace culminates at Banni mantapa where in a banni tree (Prosopis spicigera)  is worshiped.

Dasara festival ends with a mind blowing “Panjina Kavayathu” (torch-light parade) on the same day at Banni mantapa Grounds.

There are lots of stories behind this festival and there is lot that I can keep on writing here.

Lets celebrate Dasara and get blessings from Mathe Chamundeshwari who killed Mahishasura for the good.

I didn’t win any race. The picture reminds me of our goal to reach mysore on time and teach and help people who’re interested in Gnu/Linux. Picture was taken by hpn on 21st September while we were on the way to Mysore for Gnu/Linux Habba.

While reading new article posted on my favorite community site Sampada, this article introduced me to Google’s new project Project 10¹⁰⁰.

Project 10¹⁰⁰ is a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible. Share your ideas too.

It’s now time for Google to reach Indian mobile users hands. Google Phone is about to arrive in India this year end. You all might have got to see the iPhone introduced in India by Airtel and Vodafone which costs around 30+k even before 3G network is launched here. Google phone is also going to cost almost the same as per the rough estimations. It is sure that Google Phone is going to give a good competition  for Blackberry and iPhone in Indian market.

All the interests me is the open source platform called “Android” on which the phone operates.

Phone Preview:

Not able to sleep… Have been awake all the night to watch couple of movies which were paused some time back.

First one, Antitrust is a story based on free and open source philosophy and quotes the line “Human knowledge belongs to the world“. I would like to write more about it later. My exams are round the corner and want to clear my mind before preparing for my upcoming exams.

Rock on… a story based on a Mumbai rock band with an amazing rock music and more than that in its story. Wait! I’m not writing a review on the movie. I want to watch it once again with friends.

It reminded me of my good old days where in time was spent out side work place. In theaters, hotels, on cool joints, college.  Oh looks like the list is very limited though memories are huge. Funny faces, jokes, at times fights (Yes I did fight “at” times ) party’s, plan’s, dream’s and lot more that was shared with each other.

Really, enjoying the movie and another 30 mins to go and I shall hit the road back again to reach office to complete some pending tasks to make my self free for the weekend. I guess its time to get out and breath some fresh, think fresh.

There is a big list of movies to watch, looks like I can’t get to watch any other movie for a month atleast.

Rock on is still rocking. Watch it. No idea if its possilbe to “Reunion” with all those friends who are spread across the world together. But meeting few old friends really thrills. Hmm.. atleast the close group of friends which might do some “Magic”.
